Itineraries
Two days: west then east
Two days lets you properly cover both sides of Nusa Penida without rushing the rough roads. Put Broken Beach and the west coast on day one, and the east and south on day two.
Day one, west coast
Cover Broken Beach, Angel's Billabong, Paluang Cliff, Kelingking and Crystal Bay at a relaxed pace, ending with swimming and sunset at Crystal Bay.
Day two, east and south
Use the second day for the island's east and south highlights, which are far from the west coast and would otherwise force a long backtrack.
Why split
Nusa Penida's rough roads make crossing the island slow. Splitting by region saves time and avoids repeating the same long transfers.
- Day one: west coast with Broken Beach.
- Day two: east and south highlights.
- Stay overnight on the island to avoid tight boat timing.
QUESTIONS
Frequently asked questions
Should I split Nusa Penida into two days?
Yes. The rough roads make a two-day, region-by-region plan far calmer than one rushed day.
Which day has Broken Beach?
Day one, with the rest of the west coast.
Do I need to stay overnight?
Staying on the island helps you avoid tight boat timing and long transfers.
